CAR – LEASE OR BUY

Car – Lease or Buy? That is the question! I bought my 1st car in 2010 and it was one of the happiest days of my life – not even kidding. At the time, I was working as an auditor at an auditing firm and I was visiting clients daily. Not an easy task when you don’t have a car, trust me! There were times when I had to take a subway & 3 different buses to get to my client, dragging this brick called a laptop with me (they did not make them so light and airy back then)!…

COZEY LIVING ROOM

Toronto is the land of small spaces! However, after living in this city for a couple of years, you are forced to become creative, think outside of the box and learn how to maximize the space! Ultimately, the key to making it work is finding the right furniture & decorate it so that it looks bigger. I’ve been looking to upgrade my sofa for some time now as the one we owned was outdated and frankly way too big for the small condo we moved into this year. The problem was that I could not find the perfect size white…

ART WALL

We’ve moved right in the middle of the pandemic and like many of you, we’ve been spending a lot more time at home. Aside from getting to know my new co-worker (my husband), this time has made me realize that I haven’t really given my bedroom much love since we moved to Toronto over two years ago. It must be a renter’s mentality: ‘It’s temporary, so I don’t need to put in the effort’. DOSE JUICE CLEANSE

Over the past couple of years, my eating habits have not been exemplary – I would diet one week and then go back to my unhealthy habits the next – pizza anyone? This year, I decided to kick those bad habits to the curve & change up my lifestyle. I went to see a naturopath & a nutritionist and I slowly started to eat better & exercise regularly. Just when the wind was in my sails, I was losing weight & becoming more fit, Covid-19 happened. As most of you, I experienced the same stress, anxiety & uncertainty. The first…

RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES WITH A STAYCATION

In 2020, make your health a priority! Sure, it’s easier said that done with all the stress of daily life, but it’s so extremely important. Think about it, when you get on the plane, an important airline safety tip is that in case of a loss in cabin pressure, you need to put on your oxygen mask 1st before assisting others. Well ladies, the same is true for taking care of yourself – if you can’t breathe, then you cannot help those around you. It’s important to take care of physical and mental health and that means taking some time…

Labour Day is upon us, which can only mean one thing: it’s time to put those summer vacation memories aside and head ‘Back to Work’. If you’re anything like me, you’ve already started organizing your Fall wardrobe and your home. But, there is one important element that we tend to underestimate in our preparations and that is the power of a good night’s sleep! Being well rested can help us get back to the grid and it gives us the energy & determination to power through. Now, many experts disagree on the actual number of hours we should sleep, with…
