In 2020, make your health a priority! Sure, it’s easier said that done with all the stress of daily life, but it’s so extremely important. Think about it, when you get on the plane, an important airline safety tip is that in case of a loss in cabin pressure, you need to put on your oxygen mask 1st before assisting others. Well ladies, the same is true for taking care of yourself – if you can’t breathe, then you cannot help those around you.
It’s important to take care of physical and mental health and that means taking some time off from your busy schedule to just relax. Whether you enjoy reading books, binge watching netflix, going to the spa, shopping, or doing absolutely nothing at all – do it! One great way to take some ME time is a staycation in your own city, especially if you don’t have the luxury of time to go on a week’s vacation by yourself or with your girlfriends. That’s exactly what Olya & I did two weeks ago to kick start 2020! We stayed at the Intercontinental Downtown Toronto hotel in their Club guest room to recharge our batteries. We binge watched some romantic comedies, snacked on some delicious food & enjoyed our room and all the hotel’s amenities.
The room was spacious, comfortable & perfectly decorated, complete with two queen beds, a Nespresso machine (coffee is the way to my heart) & marble shower! All Club level guests enjoy the following perks: 24/7 refreshments, continental breakfast (hello fresh mini croissants), afternoon snacks & evening hors d’oeuvres (which is easily dinner: pizza, an assortment of cheeses, salads, mini burgers, fruit, desserts,etc)! It was an amazing staycation on a snowy winter weekend & it felt so good to have some time off! Make yourself a priority chix and you’ll see that you’ll be able to be more focused, have more energy & take better care of those around you as a result!
