SKINCARE & MAKEUP ROUTINE

In this New Year, I decided to try some new additions to my skincare & makeup routine! Ok, that’s not completely true, I adopted these products a month ago, so that I could begin to see some results before I reported them to you!  Here are my thoughts:  1- Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair: Never go to sleep without washing your face, removing your makeup and applying a serum. Mark my words! Skin naturally renews at night, which means that it absorbes whatever is on the surface. So what do you rather your skin to absorb: old makeup clogging pores or…

ARTIS BRUSHES

When I heard that the Artis brushes were finally hitting the Canadian market, I was beyond ecstatic to try them out! And, they surely did not disappoint! First and foremost, I think it’s important to mention that the fibres are 100% Animal Free! They’re actually made of CosmeFibre®. I tried out the brushes to apply foundation and concealer, and I found them to be super soft. The results of the application were smooth, even & uniform – absolutely flawless!!! Not a single patch of foundation showing. Honestly, artist worthy results, if I may say (did I just call myself an artist?…

STOCKING STUFFERS

Exactly one week left till Christmas! I don’t know about you but I feel like time has simply flew by. I cannot wait for some time with family & friens, but until then it’s time for one last sprint. Here are some last minute stocking stuffers ideas:  1-EOS soft lip blams: Lips get chapped during winter, there is simply no other way of escaping it except to hydrate the lips 24/7. EOS soft lip balms are made for exactly this reason. They’re enriched with shea butter & a blend of moisturizing oils, not to mention they are paraben & petrolatum-free.…

SEPHORA COLLECTION

Every year Sephora comes out with an impressive Holiday Collection and this year is no different. The theme of the sephora collection is pink, featuring an adorable fox which makes the products certainly insta-worthy gifts for friends and family! I test drove the following products to better help you select from the collection to gift or to treat yourself, why not?! (I’m a big fan of ‘me-to-me’ gifts): 1-Sephora Collection Wonderful Eye and Face Palette ($23): This one is for the all-in-one palettes lovers such as myself! It comes with 9 eyeshadows, 2 blushes and a highlighter. All the colors…

FRAGRANCES FOR CHRISTMAS

It’s true that fragrances are very personal and each individual is unique, but if you understand the simple principles of ‘notes’ you can easily find the perfect fragrance. Notes are simply descriptions of scents and there are 3 classes: head notes, heart notes and base notes. Don’t worry, I did not know or understand any of this until I started working with a lot of perfumes! :P Head notes are the ‘1st impression’ scents that evaporate quickly. They are fresh or sharp and most commonly: citrus or ginger. Heart notes are the scents that pretty much cover up the initial…

BRONZED FOR SUMMER

It’s finally Summer – all you need is a little glow!  I’m definitely still vitamin D deprived, but it’s easy to achieve that bronzed look with these Clarins finds! Step 1: Bronzing & Blush Compact (Limited Edition) –  Aside from the beautiful packaging (right?!) and the amazing light scent, this bronzer/blush is the perfect shade & does not look orange at application. I’m absolutely obsessed with it; brings life to my face & provides an amazing glow! It’s a big compact, so it will last you a long time. Well worth the $42! Step 2: 4-Color Eyeshadow Palette (Limited Edition): Burnt…

SPRING BEAUTY DISCOVERIES – PART 2

Part 2 was necessary b/c since Part 1, I discovered some absolute MUST HAVES! So without further a-do…. 1- Joe Fresh Makeup Collection: Truth be told, I didn’t even know Joe Fresh did makeup, so I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this collection! My favourite products by far were the compact eyeshadows – rich pigmented colors, & powdery texture which easily glide on the eyelid like butter & blend together perfectly.  They retails for $6 each and they’re availably at Pharmaprix (another thing to binge on when I head over there for drugs – oh who am I kidding, I’m mostly…
