NYFW OUTFIT DAY 3

I must admit, it was pretty much love at 1st sight with this Zara mustard yellow suit. Yellow being a HUGE trend this season, it was a must for this NYFW outfit Day 3! The blazer is double breasted, perfectly structured and it pretty much fits like a glove. The wide leg pants make the legs look long for days! Both pieces can easily be mixed and matched to create a ton of fun looks. The blazer can be worn with jeans, trousers, skirts or even dresses. The pants can be mixed with a white blouse, a blue sweater, a…

NYFW FW19 NONIE

I saw Nonie’s runway show in September (SP19) and I was blown away by the effortless, yet chic & sophisticated style (very Working Chix if I may say)! This FW19 Nonie collection followed the same idea with a few surprises! It was characterized by relaxed silhouettes & minimalist looks. The colours that dominated the runway were black, camel, with pops of burnt orange, as well as a surprise leopard print coat (love, love, love) & a floral jumpsuit. The fabrics looked luxurious, accentuating the craftsmanship of each piece. The attention to detail should not go unnoticed, with touches of lace,…

NYFW FW19 HAKAN AKKAYA

Hakan Akkaya’s runway show was a mix of glam & rock’n roll! The main colours that reigned over this catwalk were black, white, as well as metallic gold & silver. There were a ton of sparkle, shine, studs & spikes, as well as hints of animal print. My favourite looks featured fur & sequin, making them look edgy & luxe. The collection included some amazing dresses, coats, skirts & tops. I selected some of my favourite looks in this post, with my absolute fave being the beautiful one shoulder dress featured above and the black & white stipe fur coat…

NYFW OUTFIT – DAY 2

NYFW Outfit – Day 2 was an easy one to create! I cannot get enough of check suits – so on trend & stylish, and they look amazing with a coat pulled over the shoulders (very #streetstyle, yet high fashion & very Working Chix)! So, for this look, I partnered with Le Chateau, as they always have an amazing selection of suits, many of of which are made in Canada. Needless to say, it was a match made in heaven as I found the most perfect check suit featuring this fitted blazer in grey with a hint of white and…

NYFW FW19 CUSTO BARCELONA

When I attended Custo Barcelona’s runway show last season (SP19), I was blown away by the array of colors, fabrics & textures and this season (FW19) was no different! The collection featured fur, sequin, metallics, tassel & intricate embroidery. The main colours that dominated this runway were green, purple, rust, aqua, red & gold. Custo Barcelona presented an extensive collection of dresses & coats, many of which I wish would make their way into my wardrobe! In this post, I have selected the pieces that truly wowed me during this show! It’s hard to pick a favourite, but it would…

NYFW OUTFIT DAY 1

AH, NYFW – always a whirlwind of emotions & activities: creating one of a kind outfits that get noticed, running from show to show and trying to squeeze in as much time to enjoy NYC as possible! That’s NYFW in a nutshell, and I love every minute of it! For my first NYFW outfit, I decided to put together three of my favourite trends from this season: leopard print, oversized blazers & belt bags! I started with this Apparis coat from Shopbop; I’m really obsessed with it lately so I knew it had to come to the Big Apple with…

NYFW FW19 – INDONESIAN DIVERSITY

Kicked off NYFW with the Indonesian Diversity FW19 Runway Show featuring some amazing designers. I wanted to share with you guys some highlights of my fave looks on the cat walk. 2Madison Avenue: The runway was filled with vibrant colours, luxurious fabrics & intricate designs. Main colours that dominated this runway were hot pink, orange, yellow & white – which indicates that the pop of colours coming to life this Spring will continue well into the Fall. So whatever pop of colour you will be purchasing in the next couple of months will definitely be a worthwhile investment. Dian Pelangi:…
