DON’T JUST SIT THERE!

Let’s face it, our bodies were not built to sit all day, they were built to hunt for food. But, society has changed and so have our lifestyles. With the introduction of an “office” job (& great TV shows), came back problems! As it turns out, I am a victim of an office job (& a fan of a few TV shows). I park myself at my computer for most of the day (+ an hour of TV) and it’s starting to cause some issues – not major at this point, but could become quite significant if not addressed…

WOMEN’S HEALTH

I picked up this book two days ago at the Pharmaprix to get some motivation with my new year’s resolution to work out more often this year. I usually buy the Women’s Health magazine every now and then, but this is the 1st time I see them publish a book like this. It’s full of various exercises that you can do at home when you don’t have time to hit the gym. It also gives you tips on how to find time to work out when you have a very hectic schedule. I am so motivated by it that I hit the…

MIKASA

If you’re looking for a cool spot for sushi, be sure to make a stop at Mikasa. The restaurant has 6 different locations across Montreal & Laval, refer to the following website to find the one that suits you best: http://mikasasushibar.ca/ I’ve been to the one in Laval & the one on Acadie – the atmosphere is great; awesome for a date, as the lights are dim & the setting is romantic. If you’re a group, they also have private rooms. As far as food goes, it’s delicious, but it’s quite expensive. I tried various types of sushi & sashimi & everything tasted…

RESOLUTION: SAVE $$$

We all made lots of resolutions for 2014 & I am sure most of us made this one: SAVE MONEY (or something along those lines). But have you set a fixed plan on how to achieve this goal? I’m going to be quite honest, this is one of my resolutions as well, but it was only this weekend that I drew up a plan on how to make this happen & I thought it would be a good idea to share it with you girls to help you out with this resolution. Tip #1: Set a budget & stick to it! First, make a list of all the…

BANGKOK EXPRESS

If you like Asian food, you’re in for a treat! Bangkok Express restaurant located at 5645 Monkland street is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious and most plates are under $10. I tried the crispy noodles with chicken, shrimp & vegetables (featured in the picture above) and I can honestly say that it was the best crispy noodles plate I have eaten in Montreal, and I am a huge fan of Asian food in general. Paired with a Tsingtao beer, you have a perfect Friday night outing! I would rate this restaurant 10/10. Hope you girls like it!

SPINACH/KALE SALAD & PRETZEL CHICKEN

It’s difficult to juggle a career with a busy lifestyle and sometimes there is just not enough hours in a day to do everything we want to accomplish. That’s why I always look for easy ways to prepare a healthy dinner. Last week I found these two recipes that I combined together to make one delicious meal. The 1st one is a spinach/kale salad, inspired by the cafeteria at my work. My salads are usually plain & boring and I get tired of them easily. This salad however is different and it tastes really good. It’s also very simple to make, just add the following ingredients and shake…
