This is a story about my work from home uniform: why I prefer it over PJs and why you should consider it too! Once upon a time, life has come to a halt and a large amount of people started working from home. At 1st, the idea of getting out of bed a 9am and sinking into our home office chairs with a cup of coffee in hand while wearing PJs seemed like a gift sent from heaven. Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love working from home: I’m much more productive (less interruptions and meetings), I can focus…
Invest in yourself! There is simply no better investment out there that will yield higher returns. Now, you might be laughing at my attempt at a Finance-related joke, but in essence, it’s entirely true. Investing in your education, skill set or health are the most important things you can do – no matter how busy you are, you should carve out some time to invest in yourself. 2020 has been a difficult year so far & the job market out there is more competitive than ever before, so if you’re looking to get promoted or if you’re on the hunt…
Over the past couple of years, my eating habits have not been exemplary – I would diet one week and then go back to my unhealthy habits the next – pizza anyone? This year, I decided to kick those bad habits to the curve & change up my lifestyle. I went to see a naturopath & a nutritionist and I slowly started to eat better & exercise regularly. Just when the wind was in my sails, I was losing weight & becoming more fit, Covid-19 happened. As most of you, I experienced the same stress, anxiety & uncertainty. The first…
During these unprecedented times, many of us are being asked to work from home to help contain the spread of COVID-19 virus. The work-from-home situation can come with potential challenges, but let me ask you this: Do you hate Mondays? How many times have you woken up on a Monday morning hating the fact that the alarm rang at 6:30am, rushing to get ready, enduring a stressful commute, arriving late to the 9am meeting, working non-stop all day (not even a pause to have lunch), skipping from one meeting to another to end the day with more work than you…
Spring is finally around the corner and I’ve spent a lot of time re-thinking & re-defining my personal style. I’ve been doing some research on Pinterest, creating mood boards and purging my closet. I want my style to be more polished, minimalist & sophisticated. I’m gearing towards investing in quality pieces and well-tailored clothing that I can easily mix and match with my existing wardrobe. Fashion will always have my ear, but I don’t want to follow it blindly. I want to pick and choose from what’s trendy & incorporate pieces in my wardrobe that will withstand the test of…
The Pantone colour of the year 2020 is Classic Blue and given that it’s one of my fave colours, I knew that one of my NYFW outfits had to have a pop of blue! I styled this beautiful blue C/Meo Collection wool coat with a neutral outfit: Aritzia cream sweater & silk skirt! I topped off the outfit with these Aldo Priella dark pink booties , a beige beret, and Chanel handbag & brooch. You can easily take this outfit from the streets on NYC to your office! Whenever I’m styling outfits for NYFW, I always stay true to myself and…
This NYFW did not get off to a great start when I woke up to a text from Olya who could not make her flight due to illness (thankfully she has fully recovered)! Needless to say, I dove in with low expectations and a bit of pessimism, but as it turns out this has been my best NYFW yet! I got to see some of my favourite designers (such as Rebecca Minkoff & Tibi), I met some amazing bloggers from all over the USA & I discovered an amazing photographer Marta, who took stunning pictures & happened to be a…
