Spring is finally around the corner and I’ve spent a lot of time re-thinking & re-defining my personal style. I’ve been doing some research on Pinterest, creating mood boards and purging my closet. I want my style to be more polished, minimalist & sophisticated. I’m gearing towards investing in quality pieces and well-tailored clothing that I can easily mix and match with my existing wardrobe. Fashion will always have my ear, but I don’t want to follow it blindly. I want to pick and choose from what’s trendy & incorporate pieces in my wardrobe that will withstand the test of time.
In doing so, I noticed that one of my favourite outfits are suits! They fit me perfectly, make me feel empowered and you can easily break them down into other outfits. I like to wear the full suit together or mix the blazer with a white t-shirt and jeans, or take the pants and pair them with a beautiful top. I’ve also noticed that blue is definitely top of mind in my color palette. Sure it’s a hot color this year, but it’s not the only reason why I love it. Blue compliments my eyes & makes them stand out more, blue pairs so well with other colors (black, white, beige, grey, yellow…), blue is such a feminine hue and it’s also very much reminiscent of Spring!
While stocking up on Spring Work Outfits, I fell in love with this Le Chateau double breasted pale blue blazer & slim fit trousers! This set met all the items on my checklist: sophisticated, polished, well-fitting (I took a size M in the blazer and size 10 in the pants), exceptional craftsmanship, complimented my closet color palette, and to top it all of: it’s Made in Canada (I love supporting local brands)! I paired the suit with a matchy-matchy knit mock neck top, as well as beige & gold accents. These nude Le Chateau faux leather & mesh pointy toe pumps are stunning & comfortable and they go with everything so I will get a lot of use out of them this summer!
This nude Le Chateau faux leather bag went perfectly with the pumps and pulled the outfit together. I love accessories and picked up the gold details in the bag with these gold hoop earring & gold ring set. As they say, the devil is in the details, and that’s also true in fashion. It’s the details that make the entire outfit, so take some time to think about them as you put your outfits together.
