WEDDING PLANNING IN FULL SWING

The countdown is ON: < 2 months before the wedding! Am I still stressed? You better believe it; but the stress level has definitely been lowered given that almost everything is ready to go & I have some great vendors I fully trust will make my day a memorable one. There are still some details that need to be taken care of and since the devil is in the details, I’m not taking it easy yet (although knowing myself, I won’t take it easy until the big day, lol)! For all future brides (& those last minute ones), here is…

WEAR TO THE OFFICE

Corporate ≠ boring outfit! Within the semi-conservative to conservative realm, you can always add some personality to your look! Instead of a shapeless black pant, opt for wide leg culottes! They are still length appropriate and you can easily tuck in a blouse, like the lace one I did in this look. The shape of the pant & the lace detail add femininity & personality. STRESS IS GOOD FOR YOU…

Literally blushing – 2 months before the wedding – pressure at it’s highest. And of course being a Working Chix, life is super hectic so triple stress when combined with work & blog! I recently watched a video (HERE) that if you change the way you think about stress, it will change how your body responds to stress. Apparently, if you think that stress is your body’s way of preparing you to meet the challenge, your blood vessels will stay relaxed instead of constricting. Basically, they will behave in the same way as when you feel courage. Thinking that stress is helpful…

5@7 SPOTS IN OLD PORT

Long work days call for unforgettable 5@7s! Located at the edge of Old Port, Marche des Éclusiers is a haven from the city noise – right on the water. The serene atmosphere really surprised me, even though the media event was swarming with people, I truly felt like I was outside of the city. Two floors of local small business owners offering a “genuine farm-to-table experience” of well sourced foods from organic drinks to fair-trade coffee! My personal favorites were:  pulled pork burgers from Diablos BBQ Smokehouse and coffee with homemade cookies from Volcanic Organic! We’ve all heard of the…

GRECIAN MAXI DRESS + EXTRA 25% SALE

Comfy perfection! Can’t decide whether I was drawn to this dress b/c of it’s lightweight fabric, beautiful color & cut or b/c I have Greece on my mind b/c of the Honeymoon…..hmmm I choose all of the above! :P I know, it’s ridiculous, the trip is months away but I can’t help but start thinking of what I will bring with me. I am the type of person who will prep her luggage two weeks ahead of time and re-pack it like 10 times in between, lol…even though I know worse (coughMERIEM) but yeah I’m pretty bad, especially compared to my…
