While shopping, we often pick up things we don’t really need but we just don’t seem to be able to put down. How many of you ladies brought back something home that you regretted buying? Impulse purchases are bad purchasing decisions. They usually costs us a lot of money & end up making us very unhappy. An interesting article was posted on the BBC website featuring the picture below. It’s a decision tree to help us make better purchasing decisions, be it clothing, electronics, groceries, etc. Now, it’s easier said than done – this is not a miracle solution or a recipe for instant success.…
Red, orange and yellow leafs have taken over Montreal. Fall is here & it’s time to bundle up! Wool is great for fall, especially when it starts getting really cool and a leather jacket just won’t do. This season, all colors have the green light, so if you like pop of colors, it’s definitely choice galore! However, the only thing is wool coats are usually pricey; therefore you’re better off choosing a neutral color that can easily translate from one year to another. That’s why I chose this belted heather grey coat from Zara last fall. I love the color…
Animal print – from tigers, to leopard to snake skin prints – hot, hot, hot! Pair a leopard shirt with black pants, a leather jacket & a pair of heels and you are ready for drinks girls. The emerald earrings add a pop of color to pull the outfit together. This Zara shirt is also very versatile; it could be worn with pants as well as a skirt. Also, as you can see I paired this with a leather jacket I have already shown you before. The key to a perfect wardrobe is buying pieces that you can mix &…
Ok, so we all have cravings. Even when we try our hardest to stay on track and be healthy, we crack. However, it’s actually a good thing to indulge once in a while. The guilt of the indulgence will make you more interested in eating salads the rest of the week. However, be smart about it ladies, if you’re going to have a “cheat” snack, have a homemade one. I love chips and salsa – one of my favorite snacks, but I don’t like salsa in jars that I find at the grocery stores, so I did some research on pinterest on…
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin The stock market is a fascinating game, those who dare, become players and those who don’t get left behind. Why should you invest? The answer is very simple: to create wealth. The great majority believes that investing is extremely complicated and therefore make a conscious decision not to learn the basics. Some believe that investing is a gamble, some let their investment advisors make all the decisions OR decide not to bother at all. Probably the main reason why the majority of individuals put investing aside is because…
Indeed, every woman needs a Little Black Dress! In this post, I have decided to show you a conservative, office appropriate dress. It’s simple, long-sleeved and belted for a waist definition. What’s great about this dress is that it can be worn in cold weather and as we all know, Montreal is famous for its infamous winters – just add stockings. Although I have paired it with cage sandals, you can wear it with booties or boots as well. Throwing on a classic trench gives it a polished look. I strongly believe that every career woman should have a trench coat. Especially if you work…
One of fall’s trendiest colors is cobalt, and it’s one of my favorite colors. I think it looks good on any skin tone & it just simply screams “chic”! I love this cobalt bandage dress. I bought it last year during the summer, since cobalt was big in that season too. This is a great example of a garment that is timeless & that you can re-wear multiple times. Cobalt blouses and pants also look amazing, so pick whichever strikes your fancy ladies :) Dress – Dynamite Sandals – Lulu’s Clutch – Express Earrings & Bracelet – Swarovski
