Labour Day is upon us, which can only mean one thing: it’s time to put those summer vacation memories aside and head ‘Back to Work’. If you’re anything like me, you’ve already started organizing your Fall wardrobe and your home. But, there is one important element that we tend to underestimate in our preparations and that is the power of a good night’s sleep! Being well rested can help us get back to the grid and it gives us the energy & determination to power through. Now, many experts disagree on the actual number of hours we should sleep, with…
I’m so thrilled to finally unveil my home office / walk-in closet overhaul with IKEA [Ad] – right in time for Back to Work/ Back to School! It’s no surprise to anyone that living in Toronto is expensive & space is scarce, so you have to learn how to make the best of it in order to live comfortably. I live in Midtown – a hotspot for young professionals, and the home to some beautiful, but very small condos. Mine is approximately 600 square feet, but thankfully it has 2 bedrooms, one of which I converted into my home office…
Last, but not least: my Paris Couture Week outfit #5 featured this stunner from Self Portrait via Shopbop. When you wear quality clothes, you feel it, both physically and emotionally. The stunning crochet construction, the fabric & the weight of this dress testifies to it’s craftsmanship & quality. However, the most important thing is that this dress made me feel like a million dollars! What’s even more is that I was able to hit the shows all glam with this dress and sandals, and then switch to sneakers to run around the city. We walked all the way from Place…
In another life, I was a race car driver! I had the tremendous opportunity to test drive the Ford Mustang GT 2017 for a week. I went everywhere with it: work, blogger events, groceries & trip to QC for the Festival de Music de Quebec, so I was really able to experience it. One main conclusion steams from this experience: I’m a sports car kinda gal and I completely fell head over heels for the Mustang GT 2017. Powerful from the deep rumble when idle, to the wide-eyed force of torque in acceleration, the engine of this Mustang GT is all…
Paris Couture Week outfit #4 was all about this Amanda Uprichard Red dress via Shopbop! It’s the perfect, most figure flattering dress with cap sleeves with ruffles and belted waist. It can easily be dressed up for Paris Couture Week Fashion shows with these Zara white sandals, and dressed down with white sneakers to run around the city. Red is hot this season, especially in Paris, both on & off the runway, so I definitely made the right choice. It’s the 1st time I get an Amanda Uprichard dress and I’m really impressed with the quality + it’s made in…
Stripes on stripes on stripes! My Paris Couture Week Outfit #3 was all about this Banana Republic stripe dress! The fit & flare dress is so figure flattering with the white band at the waist and the large shoulder straps. It simply hits all the SS19 trends: square neckline, midi length & of course the stripes! I simply knew that I would shoot this outfit at Buren’s Columns of the Palais Royal to be a little matchy-matchy, but still have contrast given that the stripes on the dress are of a different size than those of the columns. We got…
Inspired by Suminagashi – Japanese calligraphy, Yumi Katsura created a collection of gowns with straight lines & pleats that are truly feminine. A mixture of dark and vivid colors lit up the runway: black, purple, white & pink. Hi-lo skirts & minis, large collars, belted waists and fringe details were the key takeaways. The entire collection was absolutely stunning, with my absolutely favorite piece was this black/white/grey gradation dyed dress featured above. I would love to add this dress to my wardrobe. I was fortunate enough to meet Yumi Katsura backstage and she is a very calm, poised and extremely…
