Inspired by Suminagashi – Japanese calligraphy, Yumi Katsura created a collection of gowns with straight lines & pleats that are truly feminine. The Barcelona based brand Yolancris put on an exquisite runway show featuring stunning colorful gowns & suits. This collection was inspired by the stories of Edgar Allan Poe, as demonstrated by the bright colors contrasted with some dark hues. “Hidden, tenebrous, darkly romantic with a Gothic touch” as described in their press release. Yanina Couture’s runway show depicted two queens from two different eras of time. The 1st one being Queen Elizaveta Petrovna, who was known as a fashionista, and who never wore the same outfit twice – 15K dresses were inherited from her. She valued art, culture & science.
