All success begins with confidence. When you posses confidence, you can achieve pretty much anything! Trust me, I know. Throughout my life, I had to face many obstacles. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth and I had to work very hard to get to where I am today. I attribute it to my upbringing of course, my mom was a great role model, but mostly to the empowerment that confidence gave me. It has propelled me forward to obtain my CPA, CA degree (that I am proud to carry), to pursue a career in fashion like I always dreamed about and finally to start my own Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle blog which I never thought would turn into a second full time job. Am I blessed? Absolutely, I thank God every single day, but none of this was handed to me, I worked hard for it and most importantly I believed in myself. And it was a rocky road; Having to learn English & French at the age of 10 was a challenge in itself, getting kicked out of my 1st CA program at McGill, I felt like a complete failure, starting my blog with only my friends as readers was discouraging….but I am not ashamed of any of it, b/c at every hurdle, I became stronger, more independent and more confident than ever to pick myself up and try again!
And with this anecdote, I hope to inspire the confidence in you ladies to be strong, independent and persevere in chasing your dreams and life goals. Women have so much strength within them, we don’t even realize it I think. And so, it is with great pleasure that I would like to announce my attendance at the Femmes Ensemble event, happening March 8th at L’Etoile of Dix30 to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event will be presided by Lise Watier, a legendary business woman from Quebec, animated by Mari-Lise Pilotte & featuring some remarkable women ( complete list below). The event is a celebration of beauty & feminine grandeur through songs & testimonials (both funny & touching)!
