WMCFW DAY 3

Final day at the WMCFW was the busiest one yet! Amazing shows like Pink Tartan, Mackage, Narces, Finezza & Zoran Dobric were a must see – below are some pictures! I wore this windowpane coat with a faux leather skirt & a black lace up top – but the coat was everything in this outfit. I snagged it at Winners during a shopping trip with my mom. Initially, I had found a larger size and I made my mom try it on and she loved it! So, we went to hunt down a smaller size for me in another Winners & we were successful! So now, we are twinning, lol, it’s a mother/daughter coat! Not to mention the number of compliments I got and people asking where I bought it, yep, pretty satisfied with this purchase – amazing fall coat, and it’s warm too! I love skirts, even in winter – just add tights ;) I got this skirt from BCBGMaxazria in red and loved it so much that I went back to get it in black as well! It’s super comfortable because of the elastic waist. I wore it with this sheer black lace up top from H&M that I actually bought a long time ago – fashion comes back, so hold on to your stuff & shop your closet each season ladies! :)

Below I also included a snap shot of my bag contents – the everyday essentials. I received a screen protector from Phantom Glass for my iphone, and I must say that I really like it! I never used to use a screen protector to be honest. I could never stick that thing on right without bubbles showing underneath, just terrible, lol. But this one is nice and thick and very easy to apply. There is a sticker that helps you stick it to your phone, but I did it without the sticker and surprisingly not a single bump!!! It also perfectly matches the phone, hence the ‘phantom effect’ – you really can’t tell it’s on! Finally, my phone is safe, hahahah. I highly recommend it!

MACKAGE: “Inspired by utilitarian surfaces, stripped-back architecture and salvaged objects, Mackage’s SS16 collection will be nothing short of luxurious.” I did not know Mackage did clothing other than coats, I am so happy to have discovered this stunning collection – bright reds, mint, trench coats & the classic white & blacks! I am obsessed with the red & mint jackets!!!

NARCES: Stunning and intricate evening and wedding wear – that is Narces’ signature! Absolutely adored the florals, the lace, the powder pinks, the creams, the off whites & blush colors, as well as the embroidery! These dresses look like they came out of a fairy tale & you can surely feel like a million dollars wearing them – I cannot wait to try one on! Below are my 3 favorties from the runway! Since I’m in the process of planning my wedding, this show really spoke to me :)

FINEZZA – AU NOM DE L’HOMME: This line screams Paris, and the song by Eartha Kitt ” Je cherche un homme” could not be more perfect for this runway show! I was fascinated, which made me even more interested in working on menswear on the blog (stay tuned!) The collection of vivid colors & textures offers various combinations for the busy working man – so well put together! :)

ZORAN DOBRIC: As WMCFW puts it: “The designer creates original textiles using digital prints as well as artisanal techniques such as screen-printing, block printing, embroidery, shibori pleating, batik, and hand painting. The art, folklore, and culture inspired exclusive original textiles come to life in innovative, yet wearable silhouettes. Eastern aesthetics, Balkan intensity, North American nonchalance and western couture techniques converge in his unique and timeless collection offering women an individualistic and creative expression.” Couldn’t have said it better myself ;) Every piece is unique and stunning! Loving the cutouts, the prints and the cuts!
