Last, but not least: my Paris Couture Week outfit #5 featured this stunner from Self Portrait via Shopbop. When you wear quality clothes, you feel it, both physically and emotionally. The stunning crochet construction, the fabric & the weight of this dress testifies to it’s craftsmanship & quality. However, the most important thing is that this dress made me feel like a million dollars! What’s even more is that I was able to hit the shows all glam with this dress and sandals, and then switch to sneakers to run around the city. We walked all the way from Place Vendome to Notre Dame, exploring Paris along the way!
I’ve travelled to many places throughout the years, but I’ve never seen a city quite like Paris. I visited this city 6 times already, and I still keep re-discovering it all over again. Each time was a little bit different from the other: The 1st time I came here I was 18 & a student on a budget. I stayed a month in Paris at a friend’s apartment. I got to really experience the city, from getting my baguette at the bakery, my groceries at a small local shop to discovering all the nooks and crannies of this beautiful city! The second time around, I came by myself right before Christmas time, and I stayed at a friend’s place I knew from McGill Uni for around 3-4 days. This time I wasn’t a tourist, I got to experience the city like a local. The 3rd time was with my now husband (bf at the time) and we stayed only 2 days (not enough to show him around). The 4th time was with my mama bear, we stayed there for 3 days on our way back from my cousin’s wedding in Poland. We did all the tourit-y stuff. The 5th time was with my husband on our honeymoon – we stopped 2 days in Paris before heading to Italy. We enjoyed the city fully: from a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower to people watching at the cafes in St Germain. And finally the 6th time was for #ParisCoutureWeek for 1 full week I will never forget! I feel a deep connection to this city and I have gotten to know it from various facets. Paris, je t’aime ❣️
I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have lived this dream of going to Paris Couture week, and I hope to be back very soon!
