Faux fur is all the rage this season and it will continue into Spring! If my fashion magic ball is on point, it will still likely be in style for a couple more years to come! Now, if you ask my husband, he will tell you I have too many coats, but I can’t help myself, there are so many good ones out there! However, if I had to choose one teddy coat out there, I would have to say this Apparis Leopard Coat via Shopbop ! It’s beautiful, luxe & chic. Don’t be afraid of this print, it truly goes with everything & it’s a classic staple coat that you will keep in your closet forever. There are tons of variations of the leopard coat: big & small spots, more & less pronounced prints, short & long versions, so go ahead and pick the one that speaks to you! This hip length was perfect for me and I loved how pronounced the print was, not to mention the warmth – perfect for winter.
It’s funny how my personal style has changed and evolved through the years. I say funny b/c I remember when I was 10 years old and my mom dressed me & my younger sister in matching leopard coats and I hated it so much! I felt extremely uncomfortable & unlike myself. When I was younger, I was much more introverted, shy & kept a lot to myself. So flashing a leopard coat was simply too loud for my taste. But, as the years passed, I built up my self-confidence and became a woman, one that is not afraid to be seen in a leopard coat. So, own it ladies – it’s your time to shine too ;)
