Want to learn more about how to wear prints? Don’t sweat it, prints are easier to wear than you think! Choose a print that you like, be it animal print or floral & pair it with neutral accessories such as tan/white/black sandals or handbag. If you still find the print overwhelming, the best way to tone it down is to pair it with a neutral piece like a blazer. I’ve put together three outfits in collaboration with TOBI to show you how to wear prints easily & comfortably.
Outfit 1: The Animal Print Dress – Satin slip midi dresses are all the rage right now and this Hear Me Purr Tiger Midi Slip Dress in Mocha from TOBI is stunning & sophisticated, trendy & edgy all at the same time. It’s perfect for summer being lightweight and comfortable. I styled this dress with tan sandals and matching clutch, a gold necklace and a black blazer. This tiger print is stunning & you can wear the dress on its own, paired with the tan & gold accessories, but to tone down the print for daytime, you just need to slide into a blazer! You can later transition from day to night by simply slipping out of the blazer ;)
Outfit #2: The floral dress – Floral dresses scream ‘Parisian Vibe’, they’re ultra feminine & classy. I selected this gorgeous Mason Floral Bustier Slit Midi Dress from TOBI. It has a beautiful slip making the dress feminine, yet sexy. I paired it once again with neutrals: a white sandal, gold jewelry & a white blazer. You can easily wear this outfit to work and remove the blazer for drinks on a patio or for brunch on the weekend (now that patios are finally open in Toronto – run, even in heels!)
Outfit #3: The Floral crop top. A lot of women are afraid of cropped floral tops, but the secret is to pair them with a high waisted bottom like this silk skirt. This Make You Think Floral Rushed Crop Top from TOBI is super cute & paired with a high waisted skirt makes doesn’t reveal too much skin & makes you look stunning! If you’re still uncomfortable, throw on a beige blazer to complete the look. Once again, accessories should remain neutral to balance out the look.
