SALON DEAUVILLE

6 months since I last coloured and cut my hair, needless to say I was in need of help! Luckily, I have some great Facebook friends who shared some of their recommendations and I decided to try out Salon Deauville ! 1st impressions are everything & Deauville surely delivered: great location with parking – check! It’s hard to find a salon with parking nowadays, without scrambling to find a spot or paying more than the price of a haircut (lol, ok a little over-exaggeration but seriously, it’s bad out there). Behind the golden doors it’s a whole other surprise! A stunning open concept salon; spacious & swarming with women getting pampered on a Saturday afternoon – I was in beauty heaven ;) The salon is divided into various sections, from the coloring area, haircut & blow dry, mani/pedi stations, makeup counter, spa, shop, cafe & even a barber shop – one stop for all things beauty & relaxation! I have never seen a coffee shop/snack bar at a salon before, and I think it’s an amazing addition. Getting beautiful is hard work and a girl’s gotta eat ;) Deauville even has a private room that offers services for clients who want privacy – one of a kind service!

Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted at reception, offered a coffee and escorted to the colouring station where I met Dimitra. I love it when I hit it off immediately with someone, but it wasn’t hard as Dimitra is amazing – extremely sociable, fun and of course very skilled in hair coloring (she’s been doing it for over 30 years)! I didn’t really have to tell her what I was looking for, she knew I wanted baby blonde highlights just by looking at me! Of course, my hair color came out AH-mazing! On my next visit (and there will be another), I will go gradually blonder and blonder – stay tuned! After Dimitra worked her magic, I was handed off to Lexi. We bonded instantly! She recommended that I cut my hair a little more than usual and avoid layers to create a clean & sleek look! So, I trusted her judgement and I am so glad that I did – love my haircut! She finished off the blowdry with stunning waves. To lock in the entire look, I headed over to the makeup counter for a touch up with Elizabeth. She gave me a smokey eye for a fun night out with my family. The salon prices are very reasonable! To give you a rough idea, it’s $120 for foil full head highlights &$45 for a women’s haircut.

How do you know you look amazing? When Claudia, the owner, doesn’t recognize you at the end of the makeover ;) She was extremely sweet and gave me a full tour of the salon, pointing out to some services I definitely want to come back to try out and some merchandise that I need to come back and buy! Needless to say, I am IN LOVE with my hair, I had a lot of fun & I’m happy to say that I have found a new home! Highly recommend! And as a picture is worth a thousand words, look for yourself – the cover image of this post is my final look!
