The holiday season is amongst us! I don’t know about you, but I haven’t been to the gym in over a week. Between Christmas shopping, dinner parties & family gatherings, the gym simply became last on my priorities list. However, I decided that I still needed to do something to stay fit. Above are things I am trying to do on a regular basis at home to get some exercise when it’s crunch time. If you have a wii, doing a just dance video or using the wii fit are fun ways of getting a little exercise, while entertaining yourself in the process :) Another good quick way to exercise is with free weights or an exercise ball. Full body exercises can be done with just this simple & inexpensive equipment. Also, a few months ago I got the Insanity videos. Honestly, they’re hard & a lot of work, but once you get in the rhythm of it, you’re good! Since you don’t need any equipment, it’s quick to do in the basement or living room- segments range from 15 mins to an hour, depending on which video you pick. If none of these inspire you, I like to do this quick routine in the morning:  3 reps of 12 squats, 3 reps of 12 sit ups (I use the exercise ball), 3 reps of 12 push ups (I use weights sometimes instead) & 3 reps of 12 jumping jacks.
