The holidays are a time of joy and celebration and although gifts are great, spreading love is much more important! A friend of mine spoke to me about a beautiful initiative she is part of, called Floranthropy. It’s a first of its kind in Canada non-for-profit organization whose goal is to give a second life to flowers from weddings, corporate events, etc. and bring joy & well-being to individuals in retirement homes, hospitals and wherever they are needed to lift spirits! The beauty of flowers just bring happiness. Personally, I feel great joy receiving a bouquet of flowers so I can relate to their healing powers. Floranthropy also offers floral workshops that act as a therapeutic activity for various individuals such as women in need, the elderly and everyone else that needs to disconnect from the difficulty of life.
