I rarely go out of my way for brunch, but La Bistrote is worth the trip! Located at 1510 Notre Dame Ouest this cozy little bistro offers amazing brunch options! You can really taste quality and I find that a lot of brunch places skim on quality b/c “it’s just brunch” but this is not the case at La Bistrote. Each dish is perfectly curated by Dana, the chef & owner of the restaurant and the quality of the food is remarkable. My hubby & I tried the French toast and the Quiche du Jour with a side salad. The French toast was made with ciabatta bread, nothing was saggy even after I drowned the plate in maple syrup (weekend guilty pleasures) and the taste was amazing! Topped with a mountain of fruit – so fresh, so full of flavor; simply could not be compared to a lot of the places I have tried in the past. As for the quiche, it was equally fresh & delicious, not to mention the house salad dressing that was made 100% from scratch. Dana is truly an outstanding cook! The service was quick and pleasant, and may I say my coffee cup was never empty! I will be coming back for sure! And if my words did not convince you, let me tell you this: my husband is not a fun of brunch but he loved it at La Bistrote & wants to come back with me to have it again!
The bistro also offers lunch and dinner options such as pizzas, sandwiches and salads. I’ll be sure to come back to try this as well :)
