Yanina Couture’s runway show depicted two queens from two different eras of time. The 1st one being Queen Elizaveta Petrovna, who was known as a fashionista, and who never wore the same outfit twice – 15K dresses were inherited from her. She valued art, culture & science. The 2nd one was Queen Victoria, who valued reputation above all else, she was polite and restrained. She was the 1st one to wear a white wedding dress! [What a fun fact – she started the trend that lasted over decades and will likely continue for centuries]
Yanina did an amazing job creating a collection that contrasted a mixture of those two women who had such a significant impact on the world.
This runway had a touch of everything from suits, to corset, to ball gowns. Fabrics ranged from lace, velvet, leather & luxe embroidery. The colours were a combination of red, white & black. Below is a collection of my favourite looks form the runway:
