Last week, I had the chance to attend the World Master Card Fashion Week in Toronto – my 1st fashion week- I was totally stocked! It was an amazing, although exhausting experience, lol. Lots of great shows back to back & you don’t want to miss a thing! On top of discovering the SS16 trends, I met a lot of very interesting people from various areas of the fashion field, be it designers, magazine writers, stylist or other fashion bloggers. It was an enriching experience & I savored every minute! I’m so happy to have lived this experience with my friend blogger Eli from Eliinthewalkin – who was also my photographer during the 3 days of WMCFW SS16 :) Here is my look – day 1 & below are highlights of my favorite shows from that day – you’re exclusive preview of Spring/Summer 2016! It might be too early to think about Spring when Fall is in full swing and Winter is approaching, but it gives you a little hope that warm weather will eventually come back & a chance to shop pieces that can easily transition from Winter to Spring!

Mikhael Kale
This was the 1st show of the day & also my absolute favorite – what a way to open the WMCFW SS16!!! I love bright colors, patterns and floral for Spring/Summer, so this was definitely eye candy for me! This collection was all about the floral palette, tailored silhouettes, embellishments & vibrant colors. Mikhael Kale definitely demonstrated a lot of creativity, craftsmanship & great attention to detail in this runway show! Ladies, hold on to anything floral, coral, mint or embellished in your closet for next season!

He just knows a girl, doesn’t he? Peplums, pastels, capes, lace like patch work – all in stunningly fresh hues! This collection is all about the girlie girl, and I seriously want one of each! Matthew Gallagher demonstrated a clean cut, feminine, minimalist collection with a twist – an absolute stunner!
Other trends that stood out from designers on the runway on Day 1: lace up tops & dresses, black & white, all white everrrythang, denim dresses, plaid, color blocking, jumpsuits, as well as paisley tops & dresses! A lot of come backs from last season – I’m really excited!!!
Stay tuned for Day 2 – coming this Wed!
Kisses,
WCX
