Santorini is truly a magical place! In the previous post, I showed you a poolside look, but spending time in Santorini is not only about pools & beaches, it’s also about exploring the cities and that requires a whole different wardrobe! ;) And I suggest you pack accordingly b/c most clothes in Santorini (or rather most things in general) are very expensive on the island!
What I would do: Explore Fira & Oia: walk alongside the roads that lead to the edge of the island, where you can admire the white building, blue dome churches and the stunning views of the ocean and the volcano. I stopped along the road to check out some shops to grab some cute souvenirs. When I’m shopping for souvenirs, I’m looking for cute & useful things both for myself and my family & friends. Here is how I see it, if you give me a little statue, chances are it won’t fit my home decor and if I haven’t visited the place, the statue is meaningless to me. The same goes for keychains and fridge magnets that I end up tossing into a drawer. So, if I don’t like to receive it, I don’t gift it :) Instead, I go for things like a piece of jewelry, a cute wallet, a makeup case, etc. Things people will love and use! :)
What I would wear: It’s nice and warm during the day in Santorini but it might get a little chilly at night, so bring a jacket. Here are 3 easy-breezy outfits I wore in Santorini while exploring the towns and then I just added a PU leather jacket at night:
Outfit #1:
Dress: Wanderlujo beaded neckline colorblock dress
Shoes: Cornetti Innamorati Gladiator sandals – ON SALE!
Bag: DKNY mini box cross body bag
Sunnies: Karen Walker Marguerite Sunglasses
Outfit #2:
Top: Zara off the shoulder top (old) – similar: Re:named crinkle curve top
Shorts: CALIFORNIA MOONRISE denim shorts
Bag: DKNY mini box cross body bag
Sunnies: Karen Walker Marguerite Sunglasses
Outfit #3
Dress: Old, similar: Re:named off the shoulder dress
Bag: DKNY mini box cross body bag
Sunnies: Karen Walker Marguerite Sunglasses
What I would eat: There is nothing better to eat while exploring the towns as a gyro! There is always a restaurant serving gyros on your way and it only costs 2.5 euros – finger licking good! You can also grab a beer & enjoy it on the edge of the town, while admiring the scenery. Also, it’s a good way to make the hubby happy, since he is the one taking pics of you the entire time and it can get to be a little bit of a drag for him, lol.
