NYFW Outfit – Day 2 was an easy one to create! I cannot get enough of check suits – so on trend & stylish, and they look amazing with a coat pulled over the shoulders (very #streetstyle, yet high fashion & very Working Chix)! So, for this look, I partnered with Le Chateau, as they always have an amazing selection of suits, many of of which are made in Canada. Needless to say, it was a match made in heaven as I found the most perfect check suit featuring this fitted blazer in grey with a hint of white and yellow stripes, and matching high waisted trousers – both made in Canada! To add some fashion flare to the outfit, I chose this beige cotton blend trench coat, which not only looks beautiful but also served me very well when it started to rain a bit in NYC – it dries ultra fast!! Tees under suits are very ‘in’ right now, so naturally I went for this graphic GRL PWR tee, which added some edge to the outfit and sent a strong female message at the same time ;)
To accentuate the hint of yellow in the suit, I chose these bold mustard yellow tassel earrings that really pulled the outfit together & added some great visual interest. Yellow is huge this Spring so these earrings will take you into Spring & Summer. You’ll be able to match them with fun eyelet tops or flowy white dresses! Plus, they matched the yellow NYC cabs – bonus!
Finally, to add some extra edginess to the outfit, I added these luxe Italian made leather booties in off-white & studded black leather gloves! The ankle boots are beautiful & they can be mixed and matched with so many different outfits. They are heels, so naturally I switched to sneakers in between shows, but they were comfy enough to wear throughout the shows! As for the gloves, they are not only stylish but really warm with a fleece lining & they’re currently on sale for $29.99 so grab them before they’re gone. Cheers to NYFW Day 2!
