GRAND CANYON

If you follow my blog or IG, you already know I went to Las Vegas 2 weeks ago to celebrate the big 3-0! I usually throw a costume party since my b-day falls on Halloween, but this year, I wanted to do something different. Vegas was always on my list & I thought to myself, hey you only live once – so let’s just do it! Needless to say, it was the best decision! The city seriously surprised me, not exactly what I had pictured; it was much better – clean, classy & upscale. I had such a blast with my bf, discovering the city, partying & losing a bit of money at the casinos, but my favorite part of the trip was visiting the Grand Canyon. It’s a day road trip, since it’s located 4 hours away from Las Vegas, but it’s totally worth it! Now, there is an option to see the Canyon just an hour and a half away from the city, but you don’t get the full effect, you only see a portion of it & it’s like $80/person to get in….in my opinion, it’s not worth it. The Grand Canyon National Park located in Arizona costs only $15/person to get in & you can walk around the Canyon for hours.

If I had to describe it in one word it would be: breathtaking. It’s immense, beautiful & mysterious; looking at its sheer size, it makes you realize how small you really are. I look advantage to take some pictures & no I did not walk around it in heels lol, it was purely for picture purposes :P If you think I’m nuts, you should see the other people! I was seriously scared for some of them, especially my bf, who kept on doing crazy things for pictures, like sitting at the edge of the rock with his feet dangling – omg!!! I’m still anxious just thinking about it lol. You’ll see some of those pictures very soon when I’ll be posting the next Working Gents outfit! Some people would even climb down to rock formations below & jump for the picture, so it seemed like they were in the middle of the Canyon, which I’m sure was picture perfect but a little too dare devil for me. Anyways, I dared to wear heels, so that’s something lol. I wore the coated leggings, the black cami, a faux leather jacket & converse sneakers around the Canyon – I just switched the jacket for this vest & my converse for these wedges for a fashionista effect & I’m glad I did ;)
