CELEBRATING FEMALE FRIENDSHIP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PANDORA

This Galentine’s Day, I’m celebrating female friendship in partnership with Pandora! They released a new collection featuring perfectly imperfect freehand hearts to symbolize love, and how its many forms are not always flawless. This message is so precious to me, as love takes on many forms, not just a romantic one which gets celebrated on Valentine’s day! The love for your mom, sister, cousin, aunt & friend should also be celebrated. Showing love and support to all the amazing women in your life should be as much a priority as that you show your partner!

So Galentine’s Day (Feb 13th) hasn’t officially made it to any calendars, but it’s engrained deeply in my heart. Some may think it’s a made up Holiday (like V-day), and that love should be celebrated everyday and not just on a specific day – I don’t disagree. We should support all of the women in our lives and show them how much we love them daily with small acts of kindness but we can also take one day to go the extra mile, do something special by spending time with them & showering them with gifts that will last a lifetime like these Pandora pieces:

Sparking Freehand Heart Pendant

Freehand Hearts Ring

Pandora Moments Pavé Heart Clasp Snake Chain Slider Bracelet

Sparkling Freehand Heart Dangle Charm

I wore these pieces to NYFW last week to complement my outfit. Blazers are a closet staple so naturally 2 out of the 3 outfits I wore to NYFW featured blazers ;) I paired my Zara belted beige blazer with a white UNIQLO turtleneck & a Mango black midi skirt. Most people are afraid to wear a long blazer with a midi skirt as they think it won’t work, but in fact it works perfectly and its an outfit you can easily reproduce to wear to the office!

Since it was cold in New York, I topped the outfit with this brown teddy coat from Vero Moda & a black beret from Simons. I styled the outfit with these Aldo Priella dark pink booties and my Chanel bag. The booties are made out of a textile material so they were pretty comfortable to run around town. As much as I like to be glam at NYFW, I want to be comfortable. Now, many bloggers resort to taking a cab or Uber to get to shows, but I actually prefer taking the subway! Sure, it ain’t glam but: 1) It gets you places faster b/c there is no traffic, and the subway runs every couple of minutes; 2) It costs a fraction of the price! You can get a weekly pass for only $33 USD and this gives you unlimited rides – you simply cannot beat this and each $20 Uber ride adds up!

Happy Galentine’s Day!

Kisses,
