CAMEL & BURGUNDY

There is beauty in winter. Now, don’t get me wrong, I HATE winter! I don’t like to be cold, I don’t like the snow when it melts and becomes a big mess of slush that ruins my shoes, I don’t like that people think my car is grey in winter even though it’s pitch black, and I certainly don’t like to bundle up like I’m heading to Alaska. BUT, I must say, there is something magical when the white snow partially covers the ground & the trees. The city looks serene and peaceful and the temperatures are close to 0°C. Not to mention how beautiful the background is for pictures – now that, I can live with. It’s what comes afterward that I cannot, lol. If you read my Monday post, you already know I spent last weekend with my friend Chloe (TheFashionRedFox) at the stunning Sofitel Montreal and she took these pictures for me on their outside terrace that has been transformed into a sugar shack – now that’s a great use of space in winter! ;) And, as I also mentioned, you will be seeing a lot more of CALIFORNIA MOONRISE in my posts. I must admit, I was convinced that I hated velvet. On the rack, it never looks appealing to me, seemed old news. But, once I tired this burgundy dress on and styled it, my mind was changed. I LOVE it! Now, I’m not saying I would wear it in black (I still need to try it out to be convinced), but this burgundy is so rich an beautiful, I can’t help but to love it! I styled it here with camel tones ad they are also very rich & simply pull the look together perfectly. The burgundy & camel just balance each other out in perfect harmony, don’t you think? ;)
