Literally blushing – 2 months before the wedding – pressure at it’s highest. And of course being a Working Chix, life is super hectic so triple stress when combined with work & blog! I recently watched a video (HERE) that if you change the way you think about stress, it will change how your body responds to stress. Apparently, if you think that stress is your body’s way of preparing you to meet the challenge, your blood vessels will stay relaxed instead of constricting. Basically, they will behave in the same way as when you feel courage. Thinking that stress is helpful will still make your heat pound, but your body will react in a healthier way and the positive mindset will give you courage to meet the challenge. I was skeptical at 1st, I mean c’on, you think stress is good and this is supposed to tell your body that it’s good? Well, mind & body are connected after all right? So, lately I’ve been trying this approach. Now, I’m not a physician so I cannot vouch for it 100%, but lately I’ve been able to step up to all the challenges thrown my way (and trust me, there have been many). There must be truth to this for sure! Try it and let me know what you think :) In the meantime, enjoy Canada Day & 4th of July weekend, stay cozy in a breeze top & shorts – it’s gonna be a hot one ;)
