Athens – the cradle of civilization; so much history & charm! If I lived in Athens, I would have no trouble occupying my spare time. From the majestic Acropolis, the ruins, the museums, the food and of course the shopping – something for every taste.
What I would do: After visiting the Acropolis, I would keep coming back to a specific spot on the cliff facing the Acropolis, where you get an amazing view of both the Acropolis & the city of Athens. It’s a great pace to eat lunch or admire the sunset. I would then head over to Ermou street near the Monesteraki train station to check out all my favorites stores that we still don’t have in Montreal: Stradivarius, Bershka, Pull & Bear, BSB, Accessorize etc. I would also check out the flea market for some handmade leather shoes!
What I would wear: Athens has beautiful weather in August, so I decided on this stunning Bailey 44 white and blue belted maxi dress from Show & Tell. The colours and the look go perfectly with the scenery of Athens. I like that it can be worn on the shoulders or off one shoulder. It’s breezy and comfortable, the perfect piece!
What I would eat/drink: I would have the best gyro in Athens at Tylixio restaurant near the Monesteraki train station & then head over for a glass of sangria at the 360 bar that has the most amazing view of the Acropolis (and of course the best white sangria)!
