The Glyco|Laser line was created to exfoliate, reduce fine lines & wrinkles, improve skin texture, hydrate, brighten skin complexion and tone the skin, without irritation or redness. Glyco & laser might sound chemical, but far from it! The products are free of parabens, sulfates, dyes, artificial fragrances, mineral oils, and they are not tested on animals! I received the full line of products to try, however I only tried the Glyco|Laser 5 soft peel night cream 5% & The Glyco|Laser soft peel mask 5% so far, as it was recommended to start with the 5%. My skin is normal, but it’s sometimes sensitive to some products, so I didn’t want to rush into things too quickly. One step at a time :) I have been using the products for over a month, and here are my 1st impressions:
Glyco|Laser 5 Soft Peel Night Cream 5% Glycolic Acid: This night cream is cool to the touch & has a milky/gel like texture which is nice on the face & neck. You should not forget to apply daily/nightly moisturizers to both face and neck. Visible signs of aging usually show up quickly on the neck, which might give away your age ;) so be sure to not miss it! At application of this cream, the face feels a little tingly, but that’s normal. I didn’t experience any irritation whats so ever. Since it has not artificial fragrance, there is not much scent to it, but it does smell a bit clinical-like. Although, I got used to it quite fast since I’ve been applying it on a daily basis. The cream takes a bit of time to absorb, so I suggest applying it a few minutes before bedtime to let is sink in, otherwise you might lose some of its benefits when you lay down on the pillow. Overall results after a few weeks: extremely soft skin, very well hydrated (my skin has never been so dry-free in winter!), overall even skin tone and complexion. I cannot say if it reduced fine lines or wrinkles b/c thankfully I don’t have many so far :D This product is good for all skin tones, retails for $40 and can be purchased at your local pharmacy (Jean Coutu, Pharmaprix (or Shopper’s Drug Mart outside of Qc), Familiprix, Uniprix and Brunet) or online.
Glyco|Laser 5 Soft Peel Mask 5% Glycolic Acid: I have been applying this mask once a week, every Wednesday. It’s best to set a date when you’ll be using certain products such as masks so that you don’t forget. I set Wednesday b/c it’s the middle of the week, and I’m usually too lazy to do it on a Monday….hahaha. Anyways, I really like this mask b/c it’s milky, not transparent, so you can clearly see where you apply it. It feels a bit like it pulls on your skin when you let it set in for about 10-15 minutes, but that is usually the same sensation I get from using other masks. I am not a fan of the feeling but it’s a necessary evil b/c it smooths the skin & the two earth clays found in this mask help to diminish pores, hyperpigmentation & sun damage. The mask is pretty much fragrance free, and the skins feels amazing after you wash it off. My pores were not very big to begin with so I can speak to that, but there is no pigmentation or sun damage visible on my skin :) This product also retails for $40 and can be purchased at your local pharmacy or online.
