August is ending and I wanted to share my favourite product discoveries with you guys! It might be the end of the month, but the weather is not indicating the end of summer – hot temperatures are still to come and so will the usefulness of these products!
VICHY Capital Soleil After Sun Cellular SOS Repair Balm: I am the queen of sunburns, and that is nothing to be proud of! I either don’t put enough sunscreen or stay out for too long under the sun. Two weeks ago, a friend of mine & I headed to a sample sale in Ottawa and didn’t foresee the wait time & the fact that the sun hits hard even through the clouds, and so naturally, I got a pretty bad sunburn and tan lines. Luckily, I discovered this Vicky cellular sos repair balm which not only relieved me from pain, but it reduced the redness by the next day and pretty much healed the burn in 2 days with only 2 applications per day!
VICHY Capital Soleil After Sun Moisturizing Lotion: I used this product at the same time as the repair balm and it prevented skin pealing after the sun burn and seriously evened out the color, reducing the appearance of tan lines. I swear, like magic! I used it twice a day & the results were seriously astonishing. I think using both products together is the key. They retail for about $25 each at the local pharmacy, but definitely worth the money, as they will last you a long time given the size of the tubes. I will be taking these as my 1st aid kits whenever I head down south for sure! Not that I am planning on more sunburns lol, I will be a lot more careful now, but you never know! Plus, the lotion is nice to use after hitting the sun even without the sunburn.
Got2b fast dry hairspray: I gotta say that I hate doing my hair! I usually just wash it/dry it/brush it & GO! But when I do my hair, it’s usually a wavy curl but since my hair is super straight, I need something strong to make the curls last! This hairspray is amazing, it holds the curl for a few hours & since it’s dry, the hair is not sticky at all! Plus, it smells really nice! I love it! It retails for about $9 at any local pharmacy.
KERASTASE resistance volumifique spray for fine hair: Yep, I have super thin hair! On top of it, it’s straight and usually flat. Ok, I will not complain, it’s the easiest hair to maintain on a daily basis, but I like a little volume! This Kerastase volume & hold spray is amazing for volume! You apply it to damp hair at the roots and then blow dry the hair for a minute – instant hair lift! I have been hooked since the 1st time I tried it! It costs about $26 at salons that carry this brand & lasts for a long time as you only need a few sprays each time. It’s lightweight & it smells great!
Dial Miracle Oil Marula Oil infused restoring body wash: This has been part of my skincare routine for a month now! It’s very moisturizing and it smells heavenly! Perfect product for dry & itchy skin. Even though it’s oil infused, it lathers well & washes off clean. We’re two using it and I’m on my 2nd bottle! Available at local pharmacies for about $5.
Happy Monday!
