I always loved one pieces, be it jumpsuits or rompers and I simply cannot get enough of them. Here’s the deal with jumpsuits, they’re the definition of comfort and they look stunning. But, and yes there is a ‘but’, they are not always the easiest things to style, especially when it’s cold outside! I decided to put together a few styling tips that always work for me. Here we go:
- Accessorize with a belt: Jumpsuits don’t always give you the right shape, a lot of them have a baggy fit. But that’s an easy fix, put on a belt to define your waist and give yourself that hourglass shape!
- Wear the right shoes: That is always the million dollar question when it comes to jumpsuits: what is the right footwear to wear with a jumpsuit? This is the trickiest part I find. Jumpsuits look best with sandals and pumps, but trust me booties can look great too! You just need to find the right ones! A pointy toe heeled bootie works best! My trick is to put on booties outside where its cold and then switch them to sandals or pumps when I get to the indoor event. Leave your booties in the car or at the coat check! Voila!
- Put on a jacket: Nothing pulls a look together better than a jacket! Dress it up with a wool or tweed jacket or dress it down with a faux leather jacket. To be fair, however, you will look pretty chic in the faux leather jacket as well! A jacket is the best solution when it’s cold or when the jumpsuit is a little too revealing for the occasion. I get cold easily, so I carry a jacket with me at all times!
- Have fun with jewelry & clutch: Be creative! Go for bold necklace or big earrings! Or do earrings and matching bracelet like I did and elevate the look with a gorgeous clutch.
- Wear the jumpsuit with confidence – that is the key!
