BACK TO WORK!

It’s officially the 1st day of Fall, so it’s time to revamp your closets and re-fresh your makeup bags chix, while staying budget conscious of course! That’s what I will be doing this weekend ;) The easiest way to transition an outfit from summer to fall is to add a vest – warm and stylish! Opt for neutrals, rich colors such as burgundy & forest green and if you’re daring enough, try out one of this season’s hottest runway trends! Amongst them are: velvet, tinsel, pinstripe suits, navy overcoats, schoolgirl jumpers and grey plaids – all trends that can easily…

CRETE

There is no better way to finish a Honeymoon than on the beach in an all inclusive resort in Crete, Greece! Amazing views of crystal clear water, beach beds, good food & relaxation! After weeks of running around, it does feel good to relax and take it all in – it was the best Honeymoon I could ever ask for and I wouldn’t change a thing! As I say goodbye to this amazing adventure, I welcome all the joys of married life and everything Fall has in store! :) Join me Working Chix as I begin a whole new concept on…

ATHENS

Athens – the cradle of civilization; so much history & charm! If I lived in Athens, I would have no trouble occupying my spare time. From the majestic Acropolis, the ruins, the museums, the food and of course the shopping – something for every taste. What I would do: After visiting the Acropolis, I would keep coming back to a specific spot on the cliff facing the Acropolis, where you get an amazing view of both the Acropolis & the city of Athens. It’s a great pace to eat lunch or admire the sunset. I would then head over to…

SANTORINI – PART 2

Santorini is truly a magical place! In the previous post, I showed you a poolside look, but spending time in Santorini is not only about pools & beaches, it’s also about exploring the cities and that requires a whole different wardrobe! ;) And I suggest you pack accordingly b/c most clothes in Santorini (or rather most things in general) are very expensive on the island! What I would do: Explore Fira & Oia: walk alongside the roads that lead to the edge of the island, where you can admire the white building, blue dome churches and the stunning views of…

WHEN IN ROME

There are certain cities in the world so charming that you keep on coming back, that is the case for me with Rome (as it was Paris for that matter). I could really imagine myself living here, surrounded by history, delicious food and people who take the time to enjoy life! Located in the heart of Italy, barely an hour train ride from other major cities – it’s the centre of the action! What I would do: I would grab a pizza and eat it while gazing at the Colosseum – far enough from the tourist cues, but close enough to…

FLORENCE TO TUSCANY’S COUNTRYSIDE

Every working chix needs a vacation! If I lived in Florence, I would definitely be spending my weekends exploring Tuscany’s countryside and neighbouring cities! From wine tasting in the Chianti region to exploring the streets of Siena – there is no time to get bored, that’s for sure, ‘La dolce vita’! What I would do: I would rent a car on Friday evening right after work and drive down to San Gimignano, where I would have booked a b&b at a local farm which participates in agroturismo. On Saturday morning, I would head over to the village and explore its charming…

Romance in Florence

If I were a working woman living in Florence Italy, I’d feed myself with delicious food, amazing wine & beautiful art. Cliche much? #SorryNotSorry, I can seriously eat carbs all day, wash it down with wine and still feel light as a feather, what is the secret?!?! I must find out! This city is like no other I have ever seen, small streets filled with shops, restaurants, cafes and of course “gelaterias”! Let me take you through my Honeymoon in Florence! What to do: During my lunch break, I would grab a Caprese salad at El Divino & eat it…
