MIKASA

If you’re looking for a cool spot for sushi, be sure to make a stop at Mikasa. The restaurant has 6 different locations across Montreal & Laval, refer to the following website to find the one that suits you best: http://mikasasushibar.ca/ I’ve been to the one in Laval & the one on Acadie – the atmosphere is great; awesome for a date, as the lights are dim & the setting is romantic. If you’re a group, they also have private rooms. As far as food goes, it’s delicious, but it’s quite expensive. I tried various types of sushi & sashimi & everything tasted…

RESOLUTION: SAVE $$$

We all made lots of resolutions for 2014 & I am sure most of us made this one: SAVE MONEY (or something along those lines). But have you set a fixed plan on how to achieve this goal? I’m going to be quite honest, this is one of my resolutions as well, but it was only this weekend that I drew up a plan on how to make this happen & I thought it would be a good idea to share it with you girls to help you out with this resolution. Tip #1: Set a budget & stick to it! First, make a list of all the…

COBALT BLAZER

No matter how relaxed your outfit is, a chic blazer can instantaneously dress it up. This cobalt blazer suits every skin tone & can be paired with blue, white, black or grey jeans as well as trousers. I was lucky to get this blazer at Mango for half the price at the sale they held prior to Christmas. This outfit can be put together with leopard flats during the spring or with thigh high boots for winter. I think every girl should have a blazer in her closet, in whichever color you like :) Great for work or play! Happy…

POP OF COLOR

A bright red clutch like this can give life to any outfit. I instantly fell in love with it when I saw it at the Michael Kors outlet at the Woodburry Common Outlets. Pairing a chunky sweater with a leather skirt has been big this season and I took full advantage of it. I also absolutely love the boots I found at Zara during the after Christmas sales. They were originally $119, but I paid $49, and I couldn’t believe it when I found them in my size. I usually supplement my closet during sales time, especially with timeless pieces,…

BANGKOK EXPRESS

If you like Asian food, you’re in for a treat! Bangkok Express restaurant located at 5645 Monkland street is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious and most plates are under $10. I tried the crispy noodles with chicken, shrimp & vegetables (featured in the picture above) and I can honestly say that it was the best crispy noodles plate I have eaten in Montreal, and I am a huge fan of Asian food in general. Paired with a Tsingtao beer, you have a perfect Friday night outing! I would rate this restaurant 10/10. Hope you girls like it!

SPINACH/KALE SALAD & PRETZEL CHICKEN

It’s difficult to juggle a career with a busy lifestyle and sometimes there is just not enough hours in a day to do everything we want to accomplish. That’s why I always look for easy ways to prepare a healthy dinner. Last week I found these two recipes that I combined together to make one delicious meal. The 1st one is a spinach/kale salad, inspired by the cafeteria at my work. My salads are usually plain & boring and I get tired of them easily. This salad however is different and it tastes really good. It’s also very simple to make, just add the following ingredients and shake…

RED LEOPARD

This is an outfit I would wear indoors, but I would definitely switch the leather jacket for a down coat and the booties for boots to go outside in this cold weather we have been experiencing lately! I saw this scarf at H&M and fell in love with it, along with the $10 ticket price! I think the pop of color pulls the outfit together. Such a great outfit to run errands or go out for brunch – I wish it was spring already! In the meantime, I will wear this at work, in the warmth : )…
