The Barcelona based brand Yolancris put on an exquisite runway show featuring stunning colorful gowns & suits. This collection was inspired by the stories of Edgar Allan Poe, as demonstrated by the bright colors contrasted with some dark hues. “Hidden, tenebrous, darkly romantic with a Gothic touch” as described in their press release. Silk, organza, lace and embroidery in red, black, white & multi-colored pieces – each so very different from one another, yet they created a cohesive collection. Each model wore a beautiful head piece that matched the outfit, further pulling together the entire runway. The intricate work and detail that went into every single piece was outstanding.
The event took place at the stunning Spanish Embassy, which is a little gem with walls adorned with tapestry & beautifully furnished rooms. Here are some of my favorites from the show.
