BANGKOK EXPRESS

If you like Asian food, you’re in for a treat! Bangkok Express restaurant located at 5645 Monkland street is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious and most plates are under $10. I tried the crispy noodles with chicken, shrimp & vegetables (featured in the picture above) and I can honestly say that it was the best crispy noodles plate I have eaten in Montreal, and I am a huge fan of Asian food in general. Paired with a Tsingtao beer, you have a perfect Friday night outing! I would rate this restaurant 10/10. Hope you girls like it!

SPINACH/KALE SALAD & PRETZEL CHICKEN

It’s difficult to juggle a career with a busy lifestyle and sometimes there is just not enough hours in a day to do everything we want to accomplish. That’s why I always look for easy ways to prepare a healthy dinner. Last week I found these two recipes that I combined together to make one delicious meal. The 1st one is a spinach/kale salad, inspired by the cafeteria at my work. My salads are usually plain & boring and I get tired of them easily. This salad however is different and it tastes really good. It’s also very simple to make, just add the following ingredients and shake…

TRADER JOE’S

This year for Christmas we went to visit my family in New Jersey and my cousin brought me to an amazing grocery store called Trader Joe’s for a little snack tasting. This place is known for its organic foods that are hard to come by. I wanted to try everything, but I settled for the following:  Here is what I think of what I tried: Crackers & Cheese – The crackers were really good, I would give them a 8 out of 10 & they’re really healthy. They contain prebiotic fiber to help support the digestive track. As for the cheese, I give…

STAY FIT DURING THE HOLIDAYS

The holiday season is amongst us! I don’t know about you, but I haven’t been to the gym in over a week. Between Christmas shopping, dinner parties & family gatherings, the gym simply became last on my priorities list. However, I decided that I still needed to do something to stay fit. Above are things I am trying to do on a regular basis at home to get some exercise when it’s crunch time. If you have a wii, doing a just dance video or using the wii fit are fun ways of getting a little exercise, while entertaining yourself in…

CHRISTMAS PARTY ACTIVITIES

If you’re hosting a Christmas dinner party with your girlfriends and you’re looking for some fun activities, here are some ideas! My girlfriends & I had a Secret Santa dinner party this past Saturday and except for eating & drinking, we had loads of fun doing these activities. GINGER COOKIE DECORATING Each one of us got a ginger cookie, icing, sprinkles, m&ms and other candies to decorated our cookie. It was really fun and the cookies were really cute and delicious! You can see above the picture of how they turned out :) TABLE TOPICS If you’re anything like…

PIEROGI

I’m polish & it’s tradition to have pierogi for Christmas, so I need to get on the bandwagon and make some of these from scratch! They’re basically dumplings filled with your favorite stuffing: potato and cheese (featured in this recipe), meat, mushrooms, etc. My favorite is potato & cheese & that’s why I decided to share this recipe with you guys. The only ingredient I will not be using is the recommended processed cheese sauce. Also, Poles often use ricotta cheese instead of cheddar cheese, so I will most likely be substituting that as well. It’s delicious and ricotta cheese has tons of protein!…
